A PEEK INTO 2024

Welcoming new orphans from Chikun LGA, Kaduna State, to Kauna Home

At Kauna Home, the compassionate care and nurturing environment provided to orphans and children affected by ethnic killings exemplify the profound kindness and love extended to these vulnerable individuals. Within the Home, children are not only provided with basic needs but also receive emotional support and guidance to navigate through their grief and trauma. Despite the tragic circumstances surrounding their arrival, the children at Kauna Home are thriving. They are receiving excellent care, evident in their progress in school and overall well-being. With the support of caregivers and the camaraderie of their peers, new arrivals swiftly acclimate to their new environment, aided by the warmth and encouragement of older children. However, the pain of losing parents is still palpable for some of the children, and signs of grief are occasionally observed. Yet, amidst their sorrow, there is solace found in the comforting presence of the Lord, providing a source of strength and res...

BEGE FOR GOBE BROCHURE 2022

Image
As most of you who have been following us already know, Bege for Gobe serves to empower, inspire, bring hope, and help the community that has been ravaged by violence, in particular widows and orphans. Bege for Gobe brings you a quick summary of what we have been up to. Due to capacity restrictions, we are currently concentrating on helping hundreds of widows and orphans in various areas. These victims include those of herdsmen attacks in the central belt and insurgency victims in the North East. In order to provide them with shelter, food, and education in a Home where they get love and feel safe, we had to rescue orphan children from IDP camps. The problem we have is that there is not enough room for extra kids. Bege for Gobe has put us in direct contact with those who are blind and desperately in need of help. Being blind is a lonely life, but we are assisting in removing this loneliness for these people by empowering them through training where they receiv...

A Widows Pain

This woman is recently widowed. She has 4 children and pregnant with the 5th. Bandits displaced her entire community in Southern Kaduna but they found shelter in another village. Alas, only a month ago, March 2022 her husband was attacked by fulanis and killed leaving her with 4 children and a pregnancy that's almost due for delivery. She's still in sorrow and distress, especially so as she didn't even see her husband's body. "If only I found his body then I would bury him" she laments. Please pray for this woman.

Gifts 4 Kids

We are thrilled to have been supported by our donors over the years, who are not just friends and family who appreciate our work but also people who have genuine love for God and his little ones, especially those in need. A beautiful day dawned with kindness of the heart expressed through beautiful gifts of clothes and school supplies. Mrs Doris Nnadiri was the instrument of this wonderful act of generosity and it came all the way from New York, USA. The excitement on the faces of the children was priceless and will definitely be a day to remember.   As we continue to work toward erasing dark days and rewriting the future of these children with hope and good memories by the grace of God, it would be more fulfilling to inspire more people to reach out and touch the lives of these young and vulnerable ones who are yet to be saved. Bege for Gobe children’s charity (Kauna Home) is a unique way to put your physical ability and resources to a compassionate inte...
