2021 Womens Conferrence
BEGE FOR GOBE felt a need to enable widows and their children celebrate 2020 Christmas like other families. We saw it as a means of encouraging them to rem ember that God is still there to take care of them even though their husbands and children’s fathers were gone. There are hundreds of widows around us here and we knew that we hadn’t built capacity enough to reach out to so many yet so we decided we were going to reach out to only 50 widows. For these we came up with a budget of Five Hundred Thousand Nigeria Naira (approximately 1200 USD ) to provide them each with: wrappers (fabrics), rice, canned pepper and onions, spices condiments, vegetable oil, etc. The people of God responded with hearts of generosity. God multiplied the loaves and the fish. At the conference we registered about 120 widows, served everyone lunch and drinks, gave every woman a Christmas package for herself and for her children plus paid transportation for those who couldn’t have come otherwise.
